Between Wolves
Painter - Singer - Horse woman - Bordeless Traveler
The initial packing strategy... Many things will change along the way as we get used to our new life
Sometimes graveyards ' surroundings happen to be the only place to find grass and water...
Later in the season, but deeper in the mountains...so we are still in the snow
And it is still cold with bitter morning winds...but the light is beautiful
We woke up at 5 am to catch the beauty of the sunrise on the top of the mountain...and then I fall asleep again while the sun was climbing in the sky.
The nature around is just merging out of the winter. Magical shift of the world as the first leaves start to appear.
Azul, a one month old Beauceron, is from now on part of our little team of gypsies. Here he is after a jump in a stream
It's a pretty amazing life for Azul, but it's also very tiring for such a young pup, even if I carry him in my backpack most of the day. Every evening, he falls asleep as soon as I set up the camp for the night and hardly move at all after that...
September 2014, I abruptly move away from Berlin, leaving pretty much everything behind.
I need to start another travel, longer and more radical than any other before in my life.
In a small village lost in the countryside, south of France, I meet this half blind, half wild, too skinny and too young horse, Vasco. Quite precisely the opposite of the horse I was looking for to accomplish the journey I had in my head. Truth is, I immediately feel, deep in my guts and in the center of my mind that he will be the one who will complete my soul and walk the way with me.
Vasco turned to be a remarquable traveler, a mountain of will, intelligence and sensibility. And the second half of myself.
From the day our lives met each other’s trajectories, we will travel together through mountains, woods, plains, cold and heat during over a year and a half.
Until life took again another unexpected turn.
