Azurea is a two heads band. Elias and I.

A band' story always is a complex and lucky pattern of individual trajectories, and ours doesn’t escape to this scheme.

We come from diametrically different music backgrounds. Elias is an american self taught drummer playing in psychedelic rock band, ” The Flying Eyes “and doom blues rock ” Black Lung “. I am a french opera singer, heavily trained in France and Germany with first class artists.

We are both wanderers, in our lives and in our minds. We happen to share a lot of artistic tastes and influences, as well as a growing wish to emancipate ourselves from the limits of our respectives artistic worlds. Elias wants to leave the drummer seat and entirely compose his own instrumental lines. I want to leave the rigor of the classical music rules and let my voice follows its on way without restrictions. And we are both passionate performers.

Azurea is a project and a dream that started in the mountains with a computer, a Zoom recorder and a voice, somewhere between France and Spain –  and never stopped to grow ever since.
